The Practical Nurse is responsible for providing and maintaining a high standard of individualized nursing care to patients and their family members according to current best-evidence based standards, using best judgement at all times in alignment with DOH/DHA and the organization’s
policies, procedures, guidelines and standards. Their activities and clinical interventions are supervised by a Registered Nurse, according to the clinical competencies approved for the role.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial assessments and implement nursing interventions aligned with clinical guidelines, ensuring a compassionate and culturally sensitive approach.

  • Promote a safe and compliant care environment by adhering to hospital policies, clinical pathways, and evidence-based practices.

  • Coordinate care from admission to discharge, facilitating referrals and guiding patients and families through education and preventive strategies.

  • Monitor medical supplies, perform safety checks, and manage clinical equipment responsibly to support efficient unit operations.

  • CDocument care accurately and escalate concerns appropriately to ensure continuity and quality across the healthcare team.

  •  Address patient concerns, contribute to satisfaction feedback, and act as a supportive presence throughout the care process.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience post qualification.
  • Valid DHA/DOH/MOH license or eligibility.
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience.
  • Proficiency in Arabic is highly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
