Role Overview:

 

The Cerner Clinical Applications Manager oversees the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of clinical application system within M42 organization. This role ensures that clinical applications support patient care, meet regulatory requirements, and align with M42 organizational goals.

 

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate comprehensive, end-to-end understanding of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) workflows within hospital and clinic settings, from patient registration through to discharge.
  • Ensure effective support and optimization of tier 1 or tier 2 EMR systems, encompassing workflows across multiple departments including physicians, nursing, pharmacy, radiology, and laboratory services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze, design, and enhance EMR processes to improve clinical efficiency and patient care outcomes.
  • Utilize healthcare integration technologies such as HL7, APIs, JSON, and SQL to support seamless data exchange and system interoperability.
  • Oversee the design, implementation and ongoing management of healthcare Information Technology infrastructure (servers, networks, data Centers, cloud systems, and storage solutions) ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Provide the required support in integration with various Information Technology systems, including electronic health records (EHR), medical devices, patient management systems, and other clinical or business applications ensuring smooth communication across platforms.
  • Ensure all systems comply with relevant regional healthcare regulations and guidelines and maintain vendor management. Maintain system security through regular updates, vulnerability management, encryption, and access control.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users within the healthcare organization, addressing issues related to IT infrastructure, electronic medical records, access, and connectivity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, IT, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience with Cerner applications build and maintenance in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare regulations.
  • Proven leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
