The Tawam Molecular Imaging Centre (TMIC) is an outpatient imaging facility that specializes in PET/CT (Positron Emission Tomography), a cutting-edge imaging modality. The centre also features an onsite Cyclotron, where radioactive isotopes are produced specifically for our patients, ensuring the highest quality of care and precision in imaging.
Role overview
The role is responsible to, independently or under the supervision of senior technologists, conduct all operations related to nuclear medicine. The role is also responsible to make sure that all standards of operational procedures are being followed.
Perform nuclear medicine procedures, including radiopharmaceutical prep and imaging.
Supervise junior technologists, ensuring adherence to standards and safety protocols.
Maintain patient records and submit images for interpretation and archiving.
Ensure quality assurance, radiation safety, and regulatory compliance.
Provide patient-centered care, assisting with positioning and procedure explanations.
Collaborate with clinical staff to optimize workflow and operations.
Participate in training, education, and staff development programs.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree (BSc) from an accredited program (4-year curriculum) or an equivalent qualification of at least 3 years’ duration.
OR Associate degree (2-year curriculum) or equivalent 2-year certificate from an accredited program.
OR Graduate from an accredited program in Radiography or Radiology (minimum 3 years’ duration).
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in nuclear medicine or radiology.
Licenses and Certifications:
Registration or certification from ARRT, NMTCB, or an equivalent recognized body.
Valid current national license to practice as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
