Job Overview:
The Speech and Language Therapist will work with children and adults experiencing speech, language and communication challenges in the school and clinic setting. The role involves assessment, intervention and collaboration with teachers, parents and other specialists to support the student or parent.
Provide support to a caseload of patients with developmental speech and language delay and swallowing/ feeding difficulties in paediatrics and adults.
Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct evaluation to identify and diagnose speech, language, cognitive, fluency, communication and swallowing / feeding difficulties.
Therapy sessions: Provide one-to-one therapy sessions in the school or clinic setting.
Collaboration: Collaborate with Educators, families and other professionals to support the client/ students' communication skills and create personalized treatment plans.
Family and caregiver education: Provide guidance and support to manage carryover from therapy setting to home setting.
