Role Overview:

Reporting to the Assistant Nurse Manager or Nurse Manager, the Registered Nurse III provides and maintains a high standard of individualized nursing care for patients (primarily in perioperative, acute care, or intensive care settings). The role also involves understanding the management of the Nursing department, including scheduling, staff evaluation, and development. The nurse practices in accordance with DOH/DHA and organizational policies and evidence-based standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide initial and advanced nursing assessments and implement care plans.
  • Administer medications and assist in advanced procedures in specialized settings.
  • Monitor patient conditions and escalate care when necessary.
  • Promote and maintain a safe, healthy environment and ensure compliance with clinical guidelines.
  • Document patient care effectively and communicate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Educate patients and families from admission to discharge.
  • Participate in quality assurance, audits, and service improvement initiatives.
  • Supervise and provide feedback to junior staff and assist with scheduling.
  • Maintain professional development and required CME hours.
  • Adhere to policies and occupational health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum experiene of 5 years in a hospital setting with recent 2 years experience in Paediatric Intensive Care.
  • Valid DOH/DHA license or eligibility.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems.
  • Strong clinical and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively with patients of varying ages and cultural backgrounds.
