Hospital overview:
M42 in partnering with the UAE Ministry of Defence to operate Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital in Al Batayeh, Sharjah. This collaboration will provide world-class healthcare to over three million residents in the northern UAE, including military personnel and their families. By integrating top healthcare providers like the Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, and Healthpoint, M42 will ensure access to specialized and preventative care. Full-scale operations are set to launch in early 2025.

 

Role overview:
The Endoscopy Nurse is a specialized Registered Nurse who supports gastroenterologists and other physicians in performing endoscopic procedures, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions such as gastroscopies, colonoscopies, and bronchoscopies. This role combines direct patient care with procedural assistance, emphasizing patient safety, infection control, and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient assessments, review medical histories, obtain consents, and prepare patients physically and emotionally for procedures.
  • Assist physicians during procedures by handling endoscopic equipment, administering medications (as per scope), and monitoring patient vitals.
  • Monitor patients during recovery, manage sedation recovery, provide discharge education, and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Ensure proper cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of endoscopy equipment following strict protocols.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to care continuity and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide clear and compassionate instructions regarding procedure preparation and post-procedure care.

Qualifications

Licensed Registered Nurse in the United Arab Emirates.

Atleast 5 years of experience out of which atleast 3 years in endoscopy.
